The classes I teach are for all abilities; the focus is on self-care. Yoga slows us down and encourages us to notice our body and mind. We begin to make connections regarding our thought patterns and habits. The classes begin with breathwork/ pranayama or meditation, followed by a warm-up of the spine. Then the poses/ asana begin; we travel through the poses slowly. This allows you to find the place of challenge without strain. Breathing during the pose and using the breath to increase length and space internally. Alternative options or modifications are explored to allow everyone to find a comfortable pose. This approach teaches each person individually, so you can build your knowledge and understand the purpose of each pose. Class ends with savasana to help the body integrate the effects of the practice.
The classes are 60 minutes in length with music carefully chosen to enhance your experience.
